What is the ground wire?
GND, in the context of electronics, is the reference point for all signals or a common path in an electrical circuit where all of the voltages can be measured from. This is also called the common drain since the voltage measurement along it is zero.

Ground could also refer to the earth ground, literally connecting electrical equipment to the ground to prevent user contact with high voltages.
Why need to connect the ground wire?
The working principle of laser equipment is to convert electrical energy into light energy. During the conversion process, if the ground wire is not connected, the following problems may occur:
1. The equipment shell is electrified, endangering personal safety;
2. Generate strong static electricity and damage the electrical components, such as galvanometers, boards, etc.;
3. Generate strong electromagnetic interference,causing various problems such as unstable light output of the equipment and different beam thicknesses.

1. Identify the ground wire: Usually, the ground wire is a green or bare wire coming out of the laser equipment. It is necessary to identify the ground wire before making a connection.

2. Locate the ground source: The ground wire needs to be connected to a reliable ground source, such as a grounded electrical outlet, a grounding rod, or a metal water pipe that is grounded.

3. Strip the wire: Remove the insulation from the end of the ground wire and create a loop or hook that can be attached to the ground source.

4. Connect the wire: Attach the loop or hook of the ground wire to the ground source using a screw or clamp. Make sure that the connection is tight and secure.

5. Test the connection: Use a multimeter to measure the resistance between the ground wire and the ground source. A good connection should have a low resistance value.

6. Follow safety guidelines: Make sure that the laser equipment is properly grounded before using it. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions and safety guidelines to prevent electrical shocks, fires, or other hazards.
